Obtain your Cyprus (EU) Passport with a €2.5M Real Estate purchase  |  Cyprus citizenship for foreign investors

As of 28th March 2014, the Cyprus Government announced changes to the legislation enabling foreign investors to become a Cypriot (EU) citizen and obtain a Cypriot passport through naturalisation. Making it more accessible and affordable than ever before. Additionally, applications made before 1st June 2014 will benefit from an even lower required investment!

Financial Criteria: One of the key benefits of the Cyprus citizenship program is that it involves a secure investment, rather than a ‘donation’ like in many countries. The new investment schemes are as follows:

1. €2.0m investment in real estate plus €500,000 permanent residence applicable for applications until 01.06.2014
2. €2.5m investment in real estate plus €500,000 permanent residence applicable for applications made after 02.06.2014. Property purchased during the past three years is eligible. Additional properties may be purchased in order to meet the total required investment.

Cyprus Visa Conditions:

1. To maintain the citizenship, the investor must always retain in their possession real estate property with a minimum value of €500,000 to be declared as their permanent residence, whereas the remaining investments may be sold after 3 years.

2. Any Cyprus property purchased during the past three years will count towards the above investment figures. In such cases the purchaser must acquire additional real estate to reach the total required investment. However, a three year period can not have passed before the application submission.

3. Applicant/s must possess a criminal free record from Cyprus (or) their country of origin.

4. Applicants will become part of a collective real estate purchase scheme. A minimum of 7 applicants is required for scheme 1 and 5 applicants for scheme 2.

Key Points:
